Letter #3: Time Is Precious
Time. It's amazing how most of us, if not all of us tend to waste time, take for granted. Think about it...how many of us actually realize that when we spend time on useless things we're losing precious seconds, minutes, hours? Compare time and money...you can spend both and then once you do it's gonna come back. Wasted time is worse than wasting money. But, for one moment, let's just take into account that not everything you do in your free time is considered wasted. Don't regret what's already gone because regret isn't going to retrieve it!
Up until recently I never gave much thought to this. I, like many people, would just go on with life. Never did I give it thought that I could be doing so much more in life, accomplishing and achieving immensely. You can too! Right now I've actually deactivated from all social medias for about a week. Now I'm not telling y'all that you have to do that too, haha! If you think you can do this, try and stay off of all your socials for at least 1 hour a day. This excludes when you sleep and when you're at school or university. Trust me when I say you can accomplish so much in 1 hour. It's definitely worth trying :)
Looking at everything around me, I've noticed that people are so caught up in technology and social media that it's become a daily affair. The first thing a majority of people do right when they wake up is that they reach for their phone. Technology and social media is probably the biggest thing out there that you could waste your time on. I'm actually guilty of this! I spend way too much time on Twitter and Snapchat doing unnecessary things. Believe me, if you did this then let me tell you that neither I nor you are gaining anything by doing this! Instead of spending an awful amount of time on your phone take a moment to have an actual conversation with a sibling or relative. It can be so beneficial :) Give it a try!
This is a quote I recently read and it can't describe this matter anyway better, "Short as life is, we make it still shorter by the careless waste of time." Victor Hugo.
In summary, life is too short to put things off. Get things done. Don't fret over the past when the present is right in front of you!
AND
Use your time wisely :)
Til next time,
